Job Description

HR business partner to senior managers in the region you support Taiwan entity (38 FTE), China (18 FTE) and Malaysia (5 FTE) . Advise on the proper and most effective HRM policy to the managers to execute and to coordinate and support the implementation of all HRM policies. The HR Advisor APAC is accountable to the Global HR Manager (based in The Netherlands).

  • You are responsible for all HR work as appropriate that is not part of the departmental managers’ line positions, the maintenance of structurally digital personnel files and the (in-house and external) delivery of personnel details.
  • You manage and coach the office assistant.
  • You will execute all appropriate HR-related duties arising from personnel management and the payroll accounts, prepare employment contracts and arrange correspondence pertaining to staff changes.
  • You monitor and coordinate the salary administration and yearly budget planning in close cooperation with Finance.
  • You work with location management as a business partner in; identifying and solving HR issues; interpretation and delivery of local, regional and corporate policies and procedures; and implementing HR programs.
  • You are responsible for recruitment and building talent database and pipeline.
  • You are available and accessible to all regional employees to help assist with the resolution of employee relations issues.
  • You develop and implement country specific policies associated with local law.
  • You plan and implement global and regional HR strategies, policies and procedures in assigned locations.
  • You ensure proper insurance for the APAC entities.
  • You identify training needs for business units and individual development needs.
  • You participate in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met.
  • You establish local HR system to align with global HR system.

Requirements

  • Bachelor degree with a master in BA/HR or equivalent
  • You have experience in working in a project driven technical/dynamic organization
  • You have experience with HR systems and advising on employment conditions and HRM policies
  • Demonstrate the ability to work cross functionally and across multiple geographies
  • Strong advisory and influencing skills are essential, but also be hands-on as necessary
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work across all levels of an organization
  • High level of integrity, comprehensive general knowledge of HR practice, strong organisational skills
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills
  • Proactive, detail-focused, well interpersonal and coordination skills
  • Self-directed, able to work independently and provide best practice to HR operations
  • Have knowledge of China employment/labour laws is a plus
