Job Description
The SchoolsBuddy division of Faria Education Group is looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer.
SchoolsBuddy is a comprehensive extra-curricular management system for staff, parents, and students, featuring activities management, transport system, online payments, plus sign-up, allocation, and attendance for after-school activities. Trips, online consent, parents' evenings, sports teams, and bookings can all be managed through the SchoolsBuddy platform.
Responsibilities of QA Engineer include:
- Analyze and document features of the product and business requirements
- Write and maintain test cases
- Testing web applications across the on-line platform
- Testing mobile applications across Android and iOS
- Execute exploratory, functional, regression and post-release testing
- Root cause analysis of failed test and raising of comprehensive bugs/defects
- Be an active member of the team, suggesting improvements of the processes to increase the quality of the product and performance of the team
Requirements
Essential:
- 3+ years of demonstrable experience in manual testing methodologies, test plan development, and execution
- Strong analytical skills to understand complex business requirements
- An ability to create and support test documentation, executing test runs
- Experience in Web amp; Mobile App testing
- Experience with API testing
- Experience with Testing and Task-Management systems (Jira, TestRail, etc.)
- Upper-intermediate English and the ability to communicate effectively, both written and spoken
- Ability to liaise across internal Development, Testing, Product amp; Support teams
Desirable:
- Experience in test automation and knowledge of test automation frameworks
- Experience with at least one programming language: Python/Javascript/C#.Net, etc.
- Good understanding of HTTP protocol and Client-Server architecture.
- Experience of SQL scripting for test validation and issue investigation
- Understanding of Cloud DevOps for CI/CD (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, etc.)
- Experience of Integration and/or Performance Testing
- Use of other supporting tools: Confluence, GitHub
Additionally:
This role is based in the Faria Taipei office; candidates must be eligible to work in Taiwan.
