Job Description

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Human Resources head to ensure that all human resources (HR) operations are carried on smoothly and effectively. You will be responsible for developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to senior management on all related subjects. As the HR head, you must be an experienced professional with deep knowledge of all matters concerning HR departments. You should be able to manage programs and lead staff while also possessing a strong strategic mindset. The goal is to ensure that all HR needs of the company are being met and are aligned with all business objectives.


Responsibilities
  • Develop corporate plans for a variety of HR matters such as compensation, benefits, health and safety etc.
  • Act to support the human factor in the company by devising strategies for performance evaluation, staffing, training and development etc.
  • Oversee HR initiatives, systems and tactics
  • Supervise the work of HR personnel and provide guidance
  • Serve as the point of contact for employment relations
  • Monitor adherence to internal policies and legal standards
  • Anticipate and resolve litigation risks
  • Report to senior management by analyzing data and using HR metrics
  • Lead organization design and hiring standards
  • Work with managed to launch and lead recruitment activities
  • Implement functional HRMS and internal databases across all departments and locations
  • Oversee our payroll and performance evaluation systems
  • Design company policies and procedures
  • Review and update our employment contracts and agreements
  • Track key HR metrics like cost per hire and retention rates
  • Actively manage employee engagement and job satisfaction with internal communication projects (such as job satisfaction surveys and employees online and offline get together)
  • Measure the effectiveness of our benefits programs and recommend improvements
  • Coordinate employee training and development initiatives
  • Ensure our recordkeeping and data processing procedures comply with GDPR requirement

Location

  • Based in Taiwan
  • Regular travel to Singapore, and Japan

Requirements


  • Fluent English with excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Experience working remotely in a multicultural environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and spoken; including ability and experience in engaging and managing multi-cultural stakeholders across all levels of seniority internally and externally
  • 4+ years of work experience as a Head of HR Operations or similar role
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems including payroll tools and international remote worker management services
  • Experience in designing compensation and benefits programs
  • Excellent knowledge of employment legislation and regulations
  • Detail-oriented and accountability with the ability to catch minor errors which can result in major problems
  • Organizational skills for keeping track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
  • Belief that teams succeed more when they work together and mutual respect with your coworkers
  • Strong video conference presence and experience engaging in a number of online meetings per day
  • BSc in Human Resources Management or equivalent experience


Desirable Experience and Skills
  • Relevant training and/or certifications in HR Management
  • Experience working in a technology startup environment
